Harlow

Hello PUP! We adopted Harlow a little over a month ago and we don't know what we ever did without her! She has the funniest little personality. When you hear a knock at the door she gives a ferocious bark and once you open it she attacks you with kisses. She is learning basic commands and has proven to be a quick little learner. We knew our aussie Layla liked her immediately but we never expected their quick bond. The playing never stops with them and Layla has become very protective over her. Because she is so submissive all her fellow doggie friends just adore her. Her constant tail wagging and growing confidence lets us know that she knows she has found her forever home with us :) thank you so much PUP!

Sincerely,

Corina, Eric, Harlow and Layla

Ps: We kept the name Harlow to honor her foster mother and because we thought it was so unique just like her :)

Lilo One Year Later

Hi PUP! Since it has a year since our sweet dog has entered our lives, I wanted to share our story. Lilo (formerly Chewbacca) was a stray found on the streets of California. By general consensus of our vet, trainer, and complete strangers, we have decided she is a French Bulldog mixed with Shiba Inu. How random is that?

My boyfriend and I got her to keep our puggle company and did not expect to fall in love with her so completely. Don't get me wrong, she is still completely crazy and fearless, especially when she sees other dogs. She has made a lot of progress in obedience classes though (Blue Dog in Issaquah is great). When she's with her family, she is a total bundle of love. The joy that she expresses when she sees us is contagious, whether first thing in the morning or after a long day at work. The enthusiastic shake of her tail, stomp of her feet, and happy "woo-woos" always makes us laugh. Lilo also has a dainty side, in which she grooms herself like a cat. I've never met a dog that smelled so good.

I now can't imagine our lives without our Lilo. Thank you so much for rescuing her and keep up the great work.
